In the Philadelphia of the late nineteenth century, before the ban, a select group of journalists, bankers, lawyers, and businessmen formed a club, with the purpose of meeting once a month, at the Hotel Bellevue, to eat, talk and drink, they baptized it as ‘Clover Club’. This is how this recipe saw the light.
